Another medal for this delicate mouthwatering Icewine, stock up wile it is still available!!
We are pleased to announce that Chef David Fairweather has joined our team at Sonoran Estate Winery. David comes with plenty of experience as a Sous Chef, Chef and Executive Chef!
Below is a summary of David and his culinary experiences.
I started my life in the culinary field in the early 1980s. The High school that I attended had a program with its own restaurant on campus. We learned the basics of day to day operations and we were open for lunch.
What followed was a brief stint in university, a year in Hawaii as a commercial fisherman and various short order cooking jobs.
From 1986-1989 I did my apprenticeship at Campus Catering on the U.C Davis campus, in Davis, California. My Chef was a former member of team U.S.A. at the culinary olympics. Some of the more notable people that we cooked for were former Presidents Ford and Carter and Julia Child.
In 1992 I moved back to Canada, I had left in 1979 from Vancouver. Since I moved back I have lived in Victoria and most recently Yellowknife N.T., where I met my wife. I have held the title of Sous Chef, Chef and Executive Chef over the years.
I am excited to be the Chef at Sonoran Estate Winery and I look forward to a new chapter in my life.
See you soon!! David Fairweather.
